The full Moon on the December 26th, is in the sign of Cancer. Called the Cold Moon, it derives its name from the timing of this moon, winter the long, cold dark for many Native American cultures. In druid traditions it is was called the “Oak Moon” and presage the time for harvesting sacred mistletoe. Thi year it will be the last Full Moon after winter Solstice and before the New Year.

The Moon, considered a planet for astrological purposes, will be in its Rulership. In astrology, when a planet moves through a sign it influences or its “Rulership”, it strengthens the effects that one encounters with that sign. With the Moon’s entry into Cancer, you may require more food, have a stronger need to be in a comfortable, familiar environment or seek avoidance of demanding emotional situations
