Night of the Buck: Buck Full Moon in Capricorn
Sunday, July 5th is the Buck Full Moon or the Full Moon in
Capricorn. The Buck Moon (also known as the Hay Moon or Thunder Moon) derives
its name from season when the young Male deer or “bucks” grow antlers, a time
of adulthood and maturation. True to Capricorn’s ruling planet, Saturn, which
governs authority, time and maturity, The Buck Full Moon is a time of transition
from youth spring to mature summer.
There will Eclipse, penumbral lunar eclipse, beginning EDT
on July 5 and 9:29 p.m. PDT on July 4. It won’t totally disappear but it will take on
a darker grey appearance. It will be visible from the whole of North America.
Capricorn, cardinal Earth sign, is concerned with personal
ambition, rules, boundaries and limits. At its best it can be highly ethical, self-directed,
disciplined and industrious. At the worst, it can be callous, selfish,
