Hungry like a Wolf: Wolf Full Moon in Cancer
On Saturday January 11th, we’ll have a Full Moon in the Sign
of Cancer. Known as a Wolf moon, it gets its name from the Native Americans
noting that during the winter, wolves would howl outside their villages. Also,
we’ll have a lunar Eclipse, a Penumbral lunar eclipse.
A Penumbral Lunar Eclipse occurs when the earth and moon are
in an imperfect alignment, resulting in the edge of the earth’s shadow shading
the moon, lending it a reddish hue.
Eclipses, in astrological terms, provides greater insight
into the part of the consciousness of the planet being affected (i.e. Sun or
Moon). Because this eclipse affects the Moon, governor of unconsciousness, your
